Bali is host too many beach clubs, but none quite like Mari Beach Club. The recently completed sustainable beach wonderland is located in the heart of Canggu, on Batu Belig Beach. The 2500 sqm club includes a pool bar, a shop, a restaurant, a composting facility, and a VVIP area. It is built with the ocean in mind, utilizing beautiful local stone, and low hanging roofs to enhance the longevity of the buildings against coastal conditions. Besides bamboo as the primary building material, high quality steel joinery, wood decking, and copper roofing has been utilized to ensure the longevity of the structures
The central building is a large bamboo dome w inspired by the central mountains that define Bali. The buildings step down with the land, subtly separating spaces while maximizing the views to the ocean. Maintaining a feeling of luxury and exclusivity while also honoring the spirit of Bali’s natural landscape and materials were central challenges that drove the development of this project.
