Permata Ayung Spa

The Permata Ayung Spa is an all-bamboo structured riverside spa. The project includes three buildings: an open-air room for massages and pedicures, an iconic entrance tower, and a massage pod suspended over the river with cables. The large open air space features a bulbous center shape which tapers into two points on the front and back of the structure. This is a different approach to structuring a dome-like space, in that not all of the arches connect back to the ground. Some continue into the points of the roof and are strengthened in their connection to other arches. The floor of the main space is a stone-clad solid floor, on grade.
