Lumi Shala – A Sacred Space for Movement and Meditation
A sanctuary for mindfulness and movement, Lumi Shala is the heart of Alchemy Yoga Center in Ubud. Completed in 2023, this 227 m² structure, standing 9 meters tall, features five interwoven bamboo arches that create an uninterrupted 21-meter span without internal columns. Designed by IBUKU and engineered by Atelier One, its bamboo grid-shell roof invites natural light to flood the space, while earthen walls offer grounding warmth.
