The Kura Kura Badminton Court is a small enclosed sports court for a private property on the north side of Ubud. The court features a rebreb arches structure made from black petung bamboo. The arches of the court intersect each other in many places, creating a beautifully symmetrical structure to house the large open space inside. The overall shape is a simple curved surface, indicative of a helmet or tortoise shell, held together by the many intersecting arches and white tali bamboo roof rafters. The beautiful pattern of the structural arches are easily appreciated, as they contrast nicely against the blonde bamboo backdrop of the roof rafters and blonde pelupuh ceiling above.
