Shell House – A Vision Brought to Life
You can design your own house. That’s exactly what Joao Marcelo, a Bamboo U alumnus, did. With a deep passion for sustainable architecture, he envisioned a space where organic forms meet functionality. We at Bamboo Pure helped turn his idea into reality, refining the design and bringing it to life using our expertise in bamboo construction. This project stands as proof that dreams can take shape when creativity meets craftsmanship.
Completed in 2024, Shell House is an architectural masterpiece that seamlessly blends with Uluwatu’s natural beauty. Spanning 1,406 m² with a height of 6 meters, its flowing, shell-like curves are not just visually striking but also structurally innovative. Built entirely from bamboo, this home embodies resilience, sustainability, and artistic expression. Every arch and contour follows nature’s principles, creating a living space that breathes, inspires, and redefines what a home can be.
